pax 3 how to use
PAX products have been on the market for many years. They are popular due to their long battery life, fast heat-up time, and sleek look. While the PAX Era and PAX 2 are fantastic products, the newest PAX is the most impressive of the trio.
One of the main highlights of the PAX 3 is the ability to seamlessly switch from dry material to concentrates. Users also love that it has a 22-second heat-up time, which is currently the best in class. The PAX 3 also offers an excellent battery life that is one of the highest in the industry – you can go out all day and vape with confidence.
Aside from these characteristics, the PAX 3 is also a smart vape compared to any vape shop. The vape will show you the battery life, temperature, and heating status via the LED lights. There is also an app where changes to the PAX 3 settings can be quickly changed.

What Comes in the Kit:
When purchasing the PAX 3, there are two available options. Buyers can either purchase the basic kit or the full kit. The basic kit includes:
- PAX 3 Vaporizer
- Charging Dock
- Two Mouthpieces
- Cleaning Kit
For those just starting out, the full kit is highly recommended. In addition to the items in the basic kit, the full kit includes:
- Half Pack Oven Lid
- Concentrate Insert
- Multi-Tool (For Cleaning)
- Three Replacement Screens
If you want to use concentrates in the PAX, you must have the concentrate insert. The insert does not come with the cheaper, basic kit.
Why Buy the PAX 3?
If you are looking for a high-quality vape that will produce amazing results, the PAX 3 is for you. Some may shy away from the device due to the cost, but the PAX 3 has a lot to offer and is well worth the price.
- Outstanding Battery Life – The battery in the PAX 3 packs a punch with a capacity of 3500 mAh. (For comparison, the PAX 2 only offers 3000 mAh and the PAX Era has 2600 mAh.) It takes about an hour for the PAX 3 to fully charge. Once the battery is charged, you will get over an hour of run time with your device. You can simply check on the battery life by reading the LED lights or checking on your PAX app.
- 60+ Temperature Settings – When it comes to heat, the PAX 3 doesn't hold back. The latest PAX version offers more than 60 temperature settings, allowing you to vape at your perfect temperature. Users can set the temperature to the degree when using the PAX app.
- Concentrate Attachment – The PAX 3 is the first of its kind to offer a concentrate attachment. The attachment allows users to easily switch between dry herb vaporizer material and concentrates, allowing for a wider range of use within the same vape.
How to Use the PAX 3:
One of the main perks of using the PAX 3 is how easy it is to operate. With a lightning quick heat-up time, you'll be able to vape in no time.
To begin, you will want to finely ground your dry material using an herb grinder. Next, remove the bottom lid from the PAX 3. This is where the heating chamber exists. You will need to tightly pack your grounded, dry material into the oven. For additional help, you can use the PAX multi-tool to really pack in the contents. Once tightly packed, place the bottom lid back on the device and press down on the mouthpiece of the PAX 3 to begin the heating process.
There are four basic temperature settings on the PAX 3 - 360°,80°, 400° and 420°. You can set the temperature by holding the mouthpiece down for about two seconds. Repeat this to cycle through all of the different temperature settings. You can also set your temperature on the PAX app on your smart phone. No matter which temperature you choose, the PAX 3 will be heated and ready to go in under 18 seconds.
To use the vape, simply take a soft draw from the mouthpiece. It is very important that you do not overdo the draw. Do it slowly and pretend you are drinking a hot beverage. Once you are done with the session, simply press down on the mouthpiece again. The LED lights will go out, indicating that your session has ended.
If you want to use concentrate with the PAX 3, you will need to put the concentrate insert on the bottom of the oven lid. Start by using a very small amount of product and set the temperature to 420°. (You can manually set the temperature higher in the PAX 3 app, but it is not recommended to go too much higher than 420°.) Once the concentrate is in, begin the heating process per usual.
PAX 3 Tips:
PAX 3 is meant for a single session. Keeping this in mind, decide whether you want to use the full (standard) oven or half pack oven lid. (The half pack lid only comes with the upgraded kit.) The full oven will hold around .30 to .40 grams of material. The half pack option will hold around .15 to .20 grams.
If you want to use concentrates in your PAX 3, make sure to use a very small amount. You do not need much concentrate in the PAX 3. Plus, using too much of it could cause a mess and you will be spending more time cleaning your device than using it.
The PAX 3 comes with two different mouthpieces. The first is the traditional raised piece than were featured on the PAX Era and PAX 2. The second is a flatter mouthpiece. Take some time to choose with one you prefer. Many people like the traditional one because it doesn't get as hot as the flat mouthpiece. (Some have claimed that their lips have felt tingly or like they were burning.) However, if you're looking to take your PAX 3 on-the-go, the flat mouthpiece allows the device to be much more discreet.
For the best heating session, it is recommended that you start your PAX 3 out at a lower temperature. This allows you to receive the best flavor from your material. As your session continues, you can raise the temperature.
The PAX 3 offers a stealth mode to keep your vaping as secret as possible. During stealth mode, the indicator lights will dim. In addition, the temperature in stealth mode is low. The low temperate allows for less vape and smell, allowing for a sly session in public.
While the PAX 3 runs the best when it is properly cleaned, you will also want to remember to empty the heat chamber after each session. The chamber can be filled with old, dried material that can block heat for your future sessions. Get in the habit on emptying and quickly cleaning the heating chamber after each session.
If you do not feel that you are receiving enough vapor, turn off the device and wait for it to cool down. Remove the oven lid and stir the material. Pack it tight, put the lid back on, and re-heat the PAX 3.
Maintaining and Cleaning the PAX 3:
One major bonus of using the PAX 3 is that they do not need much maintenance. However, there is some cleaning needed from time to time to ensure that you are getting the best available flavor from your product.
The most important parts that you will need to clean are the mouthpiece and two oven lids. These can be easily cleaned with cotton swabs, rubbing alcohol, and a pipe cleaner. Additionally, you may also decide to use the PAX mouthpiece lubricant.
To quickly clean your PAX 3, you will need to detach the oven lid and remove any loose residue. After this is complete, remove the mouthpiece and use a pipe cleaner to remove the second oven lid. At this point, you should have two oven lids, a mouthpiece, and an oven screen loose.
You can simply soak the mouthpiece and screen in rubbing alcohol for up to thirty minutes. You should not soak the oven lids, but you can clean by dipping the pipe cleaner in alcohol and wiping away any residue. If needed, you can also clean the oven using this method.
If cleaning doesn't do the job, you may need to purchase a replacement part. Luckily, many replacement parts are available at a reasonable price. You can easily purchase replacement lids, mouthpieces, and more to get your PAX 3 up and running at maximum speed.
Is the PAX 3 for me?
If you're looking for a high-quality vape and have extra money to spend, the PAX 3 is a great choice. The PAX 3 is light-weight and small, allowing for discreet vaping sessions. If you are looking to switch between concentrates and dry herbs easily, the PAX 3 is an amazing vape for that, too. Ultimately, if you are willing to spend the money, you will not be disappointed by the impressive quality that the PAX 3 is able to deliver.
