I downloaded the updated software yesterday but I don't know how to close the used apps down like I did bk on os 6 anyone have any idea at all?

Double tap home to bring up app

then swipe up and away to close… Just had that issue and had to ask myself.

Double tap home button, put finger on app screen- not icon- as if to select it and hold, then slide finger upwards- gone- encouraging a throw away world- :-)

Whenever I double-tap on the home button on my iphone, it doesn't let me close apps? Usually you just double-tap the home button, the app windows come up, and you can swipe them up to close them, right? I'm not sure what happened but nothing happens when I do this now. Also I don't know if this has anything to do with it, but imessage is kind of screwed up too, because whenever I try to type something, the text box covers up the latest text. So if you know what's going on, please tell me what I need to do to fix this, Thanks!
My iphone screen is very dark, but if I look very close, I see the apps slightly? My iphone screen is very dark but I still see the buttons slightly, but I have to look very closely in order to. It is definitely not the brightness, because the brightness is set to 100% and its way too dark anyway. I tried restoring my phone and turning it on and off, but nothing is working. Please help. What do I do? I literally threw it out of anger and its fixed.
Just got my first iPhone, how do I close apps to save battery? I have always had android phones and last had the htc evo. I always had an app/widget called task killer that I would tap and it would close all my running apps. Today I got my first iPhone 4 and see there are no such apps however I know I have a ton of things running, how can I close them out/save battery?
IPhone Screen Turning Pink When I Try to Close Out Apps? Yesterday my phone randomly shut off and when I turned it back on half my pictures were deleted. The screen was pink so I started up my phone again and it went away. However, whenever I double click my home screen and try to swipe away or close apps I've been using the background screen is a bright pink color. What's wrong with my phone and why is it like this?
